Dr. Teske is an outstanding doctor with an excellent staff. I have tried for years to wear contacts but was unsuccessful until I found Dr. Teske and staff. They were very patient and spent two hours training me and several weeks trying various brands and prescriptions until we found what works best for me. They are all extremely friendly and professional and provide excellent service. Their rates are also very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

It's not often my wife and I take the time to rate service providers on the Web but in this case we are compelled to do so as we had the good fortune of being introduced to Dr. Teske and his staff. The Doctor is by far the finest medical professional we have ever been involved with. The care, concern, and kindness he has shown both of us are beyond what would normally be expected. Dr Teske actually takes the time to listen to your needs and concerns. His office has a great selection of frames to choose from. Definitely go there if you need a smaller frame or have trouble with finding the right contacts!

Wonderful eye doc! Really goes the extra mile. I got acid in my eye and came into the office. Dr Teske saw me immediately, treated me like a long-standing patient despite me just basically coming in off the street, made me feel at ease and was just a great all-around professional and nice guy. My eye is back to 100% and I'm extremely grateful for what he did. The office staff were also very nice and helpful. If any of my family needs an optometrist in the future, we will definitely be going back. He even gave me his personal cell number and told me to call him any time if I had any concerns. You can't beat that level of care and service! Absolutely first rate!!

He is the best Eye doctor in Tampa!! I have been to alot of diffrent places and for the first time ever I found a doctor that gave me the right rx order for my eyes and also explained everything in details and concerns with my eyes. He showed that he cared and this is actually the 2nd year me going to him! I highly recommend doctor! His staff is great!

I went there recently to look for eye glasses after i visited another eye doctor in Tampa.  Their selection was great for me since I have a smaller face that none of the eye glasses at other places seemed to fit.  The staff is very friendly and helpful.  My husband actually had his eye exam there and I was quite impressed with Dr Teske.  He took the time to explain things to my husband and even showed us the digital retina picture; explained what diseased eyes look like and showed us how my husband's eyes are just fine.

Dr. Teske is very professional and personable. He and his staff make you feel right and home and they provided the most complete eye exam that I've ever had. I would highly recommend him to anybody and have recommended him to several people already looking for a caring eye doctor in Tampa.

Dr. Teske is the BEST optometrist in Tampa I have ever been to. I read the great reviews before my appointment and was not disappointed. I had been having many problems trying to get the correct prescription and now I can see again! Dr. Teske takes the time to explain everything to you and is not happy unless you are happy. He also considers your problem and situation thoughtfully and actively tries to find a solution. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Teske and his staff. Five stars all the way!!

This was my first visit to The Eye Doctors of New Tampa and I had such a great experience- I wanted to share it. Dr. Teske is genuine, kind, and knowledgeable. He makes you feel comfortable throughout the exam process. He was gracious, welcoming and down to earth. Most importantly, you can tell he really cares about his patients and about his work. In addition, the front area staff were fun, friendly and helpful. They helped me choose great new frames, provided honest opinions, and were even nice enough to tighten my old frames for me which were falling apart! I had a great overall experience!!

This place was "Sterling Vision" until recently. Samuel Teske took over at some point in 2008 and renamed it. This yielded a dramatic improvement in service and capability. Most notable is the retina scan device he has. This takes a full digital picture of your retina, alleviating the need for pupil dilation. Unfortunately most health plans do not recognize this as a good investment (would you expect anything but?), and one ends up with a $39 fee. But this is well spent. No more blindness for an entire afternoon etc...also these images can be saved for future reference...Aside from this advancement, he also has a device that pretty accurately pre-determines you diopters before the actual exam commences. Nice stuff!! Teske is also quite knowledgeable, and is able to conduct a scientific discussion about his methods and vision problems in general. In summary: If you did not like Peggy Sterling, give this place another chance-things have changed dramatically. If you are a new customer looking for a great eye doctor in Tampa: This is pretty much as good as it gets!

As a cancer survivor..who has gone through radiation, three surgeries, and massive amounts of medication...I CAN SEE..Thanks to Dr. Teske. He was very thorough, patient, and kind. I knew my vision was off-kilter, blurry as the day went on, but I had no idea the amount of change in my vision/prescription that I needed..The staff was very wonderful, funny and so nice. I hope to see this practice stay in this area!! KUDO'S to you ALL..for your time, patience, customer service and great atmosphere..I am in the medical field and will ONLY recommend this Tampa Optometrist !!! Technology with the latest updates; vision 20/20..I have never had 20/20 vision in 43 years!.................My Sincere Thanks, Tracey

Far Above average care is what you will receive in Sam's office. You feel like you are Sam's only patient when you are there. He gives you his undivided attention and is sensitive to your needs. He is surrounded by like-minded individuals who shower you with warmth and compassion. I highly recommend Dr. Samuel Teske of the Eye Doctors of New Tampa.

I live in Brandon and actually work at an optometry office and I went all the way to New Tampa in order to have Dr. Teske check my eyes because he's just that good! He's an excellent doctor and is very thorough in his exams to the point where he can be extremely accurate with even the smallest details. I'd would NEVER go to any other eye doctor, no matter the distance. He was able to be much more accurate with my Rx than the doctor that I had before him because of how thorough he is with his exams. He's also very friendly and makes all his customers feel comfortable and relaxed. Another thing that he does that it seems that not too many doctors do anymore is explain exactly what's going on with the health of your eyes in words that you can actually understand!! His office crew are also incredibly friendly and actually quite funny as well. Most of the time, when I go to any doctor, the office is always really quiet and nobody even smiles, let alone laughs, but his office staff all seem to have a sense of humor to the point where I actually enjoyed getting my eyes examined! To sum it up: He's a great doctor, he'll give you a very accurate Rx and great care, and your visit will be quite enjoyable :)
Pros: Friendly, thorough, enjoyable, accurate, and much more!
Cons: Absolutely nothing

I highly recommend The Eye Doctors of New Tampa. The staff was very pleasant, accommodating and professional. Dr. Teske was wonderful with my daughter who is 8 years old. He took the time to explain everything to us and did not rush through anything. I was so happy with the time he spent with us I made an appointment for the following day. I would recommend Dr. Teske to anyone who needs their eyes checked.

From the time i enter the office,the front desk receptionist was awesome. You felt right at home. The ladies that did the initial eye exams was very polite and homely felt like you were family immediately. Dr. Teske,talk about a personable, informative, and easy going individual, well that sums up this individual. As a medical professional one would say he "has bedside manners". There is no experience to be compared to the encounter with Dr. Teske he was wonderful. At the other optometric office that i have gone to and its been a few (I having been wearing glasses for many years),i felt like a number and i went in for an oil change and thats what you were going to get and nothing else.i I had come to the conclusion that this was part of the requirement for optometry school but thanks to md Teske he changed my mind. thanks a million you really helped me not to give up on your colleagues.Dr. Teske is the best Eye Doctor in Tampa... Hands Down!
