Our Practice
Dr. Samuel Teske is a TPA/DPA certified optometric physician certified in the examination, diagnosis and medical treatment of vision correction and ocular disease. Dr. Teske grew up in North Platte, Nebraska and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1997. Dr. Teske then attended Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois which he graduated in 2001. Dr. Teske received honors in ocular disease, pediatrics, contact lenses, geriatrics / low vision and primary care internships.Dr. Teske has completed more specialty training in his field than most eye doctors in Tampa. His clinical training includes Bay Pines VA Hospital, The Illinois Eye Institute, The Omaha Eye Institute and the Ehrling Bergquist Ophthalmology Department. The majority of his training was performed at The Illinois Eye Institute, a clinic affiliated with the University of Chicago. Dr. Teske has been a member of the American Optometric Association since 1997 and a member of the Florida Optometric Association since 2002. Dr. Teske has established his practice for many years and is considered one of the leading eye doctors in Tampa.
Dr. Teske lives in nearby Land O’ Lakes with his wife Dr. Lisa Teske a Veterinarian at Pebble Creek Animal & Bird Hospital in New Tampa. They are joined by a new edition Grayson in February of 2008. When not chasing Grayson around the house Dr. Teske likes to golf, kayak, scuba dive, snow ski and relax with his family which includes their dog Sadie, cat Adia, and African Grey Parrot Zazu. In the fall its all about Red, Go Big Red that is, as Sam and Lisa root for their beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Shelly Shelly is our Manager and Optician. Shelly hails from the Denver Colorado area and has been in Florida since 2006. Shelly has been in the optical industry for the last 19 years. We are lucky to have her extensive frame and ophthalmic lens background. She can guide you though the confusing maze of what type of frame, lens and coating is correct for your prescription and individual needs.

Brenda Brenda has 30 plus years of experience in optometric practice and brings her insurance expertise to The Eye Doctors of New Tampa. She is our main receptionist and insurance guru. Born is the greater New Orleans area, Brenda has been in the Tampa area since 1969 and has been working with eye doctors in Tampa since the 1970's. Brenda loves to help people and knows the best way to use your insurance to maximize your benefits. Dr. Teske and Brenda have been working together since 2002

Tiffany Tiffany is an original Tampa native as she returned home in 1998 after moving from the Washington D.C. area. Tiffany is our head technician here at The Eye Doctors of New Tampa and is also an expert optical sales associate. She is a certified Optomap® technician and brings her 8 years optical experience working with eye doctors in Tampa to our practice. Tiffany’s problem solving ability and energetic attitude helps make our practice shine.

Candice Candice is from Nebraska. Go Huskers! Candice joined The Eye Doctors of New Tampa in 2008 and brought her warm and sincere care to our practice. Candice is an optometric technician and contact lens coordinator with many years of experience working with eye doctors in Tampa. and excels in customer service. You can always tell who Candice is by her happy and bright smile.
