Our Practice
Dr. Samuel Teske is a TPA/DPA certified optometric physician certified in the examination, diagnosis and medical treatment of vision correction and ocular disease. Dr. Teske grew up in North Platte, Nebraska and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1997. Dr. Teske then attended Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois which he graduated in 2001. Dr. Teske received honors in ocular disease, pediatrics, contact lenses, geriatrics / low vision and primary care internships.Dr. Teske has completed more specialty training in his field than most eye doctors in Tampa. His clinical training includes Bay Pines VA Hospital, The Illinois Eye Institute, The Omaha Eye Institute and the Ehrling Bergquist Ophthalmology Department. The majority of his training was performed at The Illinois Eye Institute, a clinic affiliated with the University of Chicago. Dr. Teske has been a member of the American Optometric Association since 1997 and a member of the Florida Optometric Association since 2002. Dr. Teske has established his practice for many years and is considered one of the leading eye doctors in Tampa.
Dr. Teske lives in nearby Wesley Chapel with his wife Dr. Lisa Teske, a Veterinarian at Pebble Creek Animal & Bird Hospital in New Tampa. They were joined by a new edition, Beckett in August of 2010. That makes two boys for the Teske family with 3 year old Grayson. Dr. Teske likes to say he only needs one more to make his golfing foursome. When he is not busy with the two practices, Dr. Teske likes to golf, kayak, scuba dive, snow ski, and relax with his family, which includes their dog Sadie and African Grey Parrot Zazu. In the fall it’s all about Red, Go Big Red that is, as Sam and Lisa root for their beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers. They are excited about the move to the Big 10 conference.
Dr. Jennifer Manning, OD –A Kansas native, Dr. Manning is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry, and a member of the America Academy of Optometry. She moved to Florida in 2008 after serving as an optometrist in the United States Air Force. Dr Manning joined our practice in April of 2011. We are very excited to have her aboard! When she is not busy seeing patients, Dr Manning enjoys watching Jayhawk basketball and spending time at the gym.

Kevin Kevin is our practice manager and a licensed Optician (LDO). Kevin hails from Dalton, GA, the carpet capital of the world. He has been in Florida since 2005. Kevin attended Tulane University before receiving a B.S. degree in Environmental Science from the University of Florida. He is certified with the American Board of Opticianry (ABO) and has been in the optical field for four years. We are lucky to have his extensive frame and ophthalmic lens background. Kevin works very hard to make sure our services exceed the expectations of our patients. During his time off, Kevin enjoys water sports and spending time relaxing at the lake.

Mary Hollis Mary Hollis is a native of South Carolina, and an avid Gamecock fan. She has been working in the optical field since 2005, and moved to Florida in 2008. Mary Hollis is our front desk coordinator, and would be happy to help you navigate through the complex details of your vision insurance plan. She also has lots of experience as a contact lens technician and an optical assistant, and would love to help you choose the right frame and lens options to suit your prescription and style. When she is not at work, Mary Hollis prefers to spend her time riding horses and watching Gamecock football. .

Candice Candice also hails from Nebraska, and is a Huskers fan. She joined The Eye Doctors of New Tampa and The Eye Doctors of Trinity at the beginning in 2008, and brought her warm and sincere care to our practice. Candice is an optometric technician and contact lens coordinator, with many years of experience. She excels in customer service and patient care, and always stands out because of her bright, happy smile. You can count on Candice to help you with any contact lens questions or specialty orders. When Candice is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

Amy Originally from Missouri, Amy came to Florida in 2005, after spending time in New York and Texas as well. She has been with The Eye Doctors of New Tampa and The Eye Doctors of Trinity since January of 2011, and is our optometric technician. Amy always greets you with a smile, and takes you through the pre-exam tests to prepare you for seeing the doctor. We are lucky to have her and her expertise with the Optomap. When Amy is not at work, she likes spending time with her animals, fishing, and scuba diving.

David Helping people see better and look good at the same time is is why David enjoys his job so much. David is a licensed board certified Dispensing Optician (LDO) and has extensive certification with the American Board of Opticianry (ABO) and National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE). He has 13 years experience in the optical industry and has been living and serving the Tampa bay area for over 15 years. He takes great pride in being the best and is able to fix most jobs that other opticians shy away from. David is excellent at recommending eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens coatings after considering the prescription and the patients occupation, habits, features, and style. During his down time, David enjoys riding dirt bikes and spending time with his two young sons.

Brittany Brittany is a native Floridian, and was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, although she has lived in many places including Orlando, Washington, D.C., and the Mid-West. She is our Optometric Assistant, and takes care of patients in a variety of areas. She will perform pre-exam tests before you see your doctor, then help you pick out a fashionable, flattering frame after you are done with your exam. If you need an expert opinion on which frame style works well for you, Brittany is the woman to ask. When Brittany is not at work, she enjoys SCUBA diving, exploring new cultures, and traveling. She hopes to one day visit all of the places her military family has visited, and many they have not.
